cuts like a knife

After the sleep training we started at the beginning of December, Emery has been sleeping through the night with an occasional feeding in the early morning hours. His naps miraculously fell into place as well, without much assistance from me. However, the last week or so has been a bit rough. Regression seemed to be occurring and I didn't know how to stop it!

All my fears have been assuaged today, as his two bottom teeth have broken through. They're barely visible, but now I understand all the crying and extra drooling. He bravely took some Motrin this morning and we headed out to lunch with Donna and a visit to the grocery store. I couldn't have been more pleased with our little trip, as he was fantastic until the medicine started to wear off. That was our cue to head home.

but there was lots of this:

He's reaching for EVERYTHING in sight.

His newest trick is sitting up-- everywhere he can.
It looks a bit uncomfortable in the stroller, but he insists on sitting straight up unless I lay the seat back a couple of notches...

Although only the second time we've tried the cart, today was the first successful go at it.
He sat up the entire time we were in Macey's and we left with a smile on our faces!
