Emery and I were able to spend the afternoon at Brooklyn's class celebrating Valentine's Day.
Along with Grandma, we made a pit stop at Cafe Rio for lunch beforehand.
Poor Emery was teased with a big bite--
-- but really did enjoy his first taste of key lime pie, minus the crust.
He was satisfied, to say the least.
Brooklyn's class threw a fabulous party.
Grandma was in charge of the cookie station, where frosting and candy hearts were king.
There were two other stations for making valentines and decorating a special envelope to hold all their goodies.
Emery waited patiently for his cousin to finish.
During the down time, he caught up on a little reading
and practiced counting.
Brooklyn's classmates couldn't believe how smart he was.
Snack break.
He started to grow a little impatient-- the prince missed Princess B.
Luckily, she finished in the nick of time.
He got to spend the rest of the afternoon being pushed around by his favorite 9 year old.
Lots of treats later, we bundled up and headed home.
