In the morning, Nate met us at my office and took Emery for a drive while I attended a meeting. My mom called when we were on our way home and asked us to meet her for lunch at Ikea. A fun pit stop before heading home, I thought. But I always forget it's impossible to spend anything less than 4 hours there. Emery ended up sleeping, eating, pooping, and cooing among all the Swedish design. It was a beautifully blustery day and I bundled him up on the way out. He woke up the second the cold air hit his warm cheeks, but was happy to listen to Raffi once inside the car. We came home and had a glorious 3 hour nap-- a fitting end to the long pit stop.
