Ruby, Nate, and I arrived home late afternoon on Monday, March 1 to this cute thing:
He automatically seemed to have aged a couple of years, except for the bottle. I cried when I saw him-- he was a boy! How'd that happen over a long weekend?
Ruby has been an angel and sleeps amid strains of Yo Gabba Gabba songs and her brother crashing trucks and trains within inches of her bed.
We're really tired, but sleeping in shifts is helping ease the transition.
Upon her homecoming, she's had to use the biliblanket 24 hours a day to help get rid of the jaundice. However, it hasn't affected her ability to catch some ZZZs.
With daddy home every day, Emery has loved his afternoon trips to the neighborhood park. It's especially thrilling, as daddy let's him get as dirty as he wants.
I'm not keeping up on much except for the People magazine that's buried under the mail pile.
And we sure do go through a lot of bottles these days... Emery was close to being done with them until he saw Ruby with one every couple of hours. Too much competition to pass up.
And he loves the dancing Brobee Ruby brought him. A baby and Brobee all in one day!
She's been such a joy and I couldn't feel more lucky to have a good sleeper!
We love our sweet little jewel!

ReplyDeleteshe is so cute.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Wasn't it so wierd to get home and change Emery's diaper after being with Ruby? The first time I changed Gavins diaper when I got home from the hospital, it felt like I was changing a 12 years diaper!! I was like "kid you've got to get potty trained" haha!! He just looked SO HUGE compared to Jayde. And yep, Gavin is now sucking a pacificer (which he never did) b/c he see's his sister. Fun times! Loving your pictures!
